Following the first annual review of BPP signatories’ compliance statements, and as part of the ongoing review of the Best Practice Principles for Shareholder Voting Research, the Independent Oversight Committee (IOC) conducted a Stakeholder Survey in relation to the provision of shareholder voting and analytical services.

We received 11 responses in total from investors, issuers, and other representative bodies regarding:

  • The scope and structure of the Principles
  • The content of the Principles
  • Service quality
  • Conflicts of interest management
  • Communications policies
  • Reporting on the Principles
  • Monitoring the application of the Principles

Read the survey responses publicly shared by the stakeholders below

Stakeholders have a unique chance to share their views with the IOC, across-the-board, and the IOC welcomes this opportunity to assess the Principles and the IOC’s role and mission.

As with previous consultations, all responses will be published on the BPPG website, unless otherwise requested. Stakeholders who wish to opt-out of having their feedback shared publicly can do so by ticking the opt-out box in the feedback form; in such instances, comments will be treated as confidential.

Submissions will be accepted until August 20th, 2021 and can be submitted via the button below.
